The Thuampui Welfare Society is a Non-Governmental Organization(NGO) and non-profit making society. It was established on January 29, 2009 and registred under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 at the Office of Registrar, Firms & Societies, Govt. of Mizoram, vide Registration No. SR/MZ-77 0f 2002-2003 dated 29/01/2002.

The main intension of the Society since its inception was to promote and uplift educationally and economically deprived section of the community, especially minority communities, SCs & STs. To bring about such Socio-economic changes, it was felt that providing proper career guidance, quality study materials & coaching/ training to the students and Job seekers, and providing better employment opportunities was an essential component of a such a change.

The brief description of the society- its objects and activities are as follows:-

1. Diffusion of Knowledge to the general public.
2. To seek steps for solving the problems faced by the students and job seekers through education.
3. To set up a Mini Library and this shall be accessible for the public.
4. To organize special & quality coaching programes/pre-examination training programmes for various State Level and central Level competitive examinations at minimum cost/free of cost to students belonging to Minority communities and for the economically backward people.
5. To organize special and quality coaching programmes for admission in Technical and Professional courses such as Engineering, Medical, Management, IT, etc... at minimum cost for the students belonging to Minority Communities and economically backward people.
6. To provide/make available/supply authentic study material for various state level and central level competitive examinations at minimum cost to students belonging to minority communities and economically backward people.
7. To cooperate the Govt. of Mizoram and other voluntary organizations for the development of systemtic education.
8. To cooperate and collaborate with like institutions, bodies, agencies of Govt and NGO having similar objectives.
9. To organise workshop, Seminars, Symposium, Socio-Economic reserach, Panel discussion etc... on the issue pertaining to development of society in general and career guidance programme in particular.
